Positions Within the Casino

Cage/Vault

Cage/Vault Supervisor:  Your job will be to assist the Department Manager with the operations of the Cage and Vault. Some of your duties will include providing supervision and support to team members, ensuring that daily schedules provide adequate staffing to meet business needs and investigating variances that may occur on your shift and reporting the outcome to management.  You will have to be detail oriented, mathematically inclined and have supervisory experience.  But if you enjoy this type of position and have a friendly, outgoing personality – we’d love to have you on our team! 

Main Bank Cashier: You will be working in the vault.  You get to be the banker in charge of bankroll inside the Casino Vault. You will accept deposits of cash receipts from cashiers/clerks into the vault, accept returned cash drawers and count down the bank for variances, and secure cash to be deposited at the bank.

Cage Cashier:  As Cage Cashier, your main duties are to safeguard the assets of the casino, cashing out guest transactions in an accurate, professional and courteous manner and in accordance with established policies, procedures and gaming regulations. 

Drop Team

Drop Team Member: You must be an early riser, as your shift will begin at 4:45 am daily – and being late is not an option. The drop/count team member is responsible for maintaining an organized cart of empty and full boxes, removing cash boxes from the gaming machines, replacing them with empty ones. Count, collects and documents revenue received from the electronic gaming machines. Operate currency ten key or computer system to document transactions. This is a physical job requiring much bending, wrist movement and stooping throughout the shift.

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage Supervisor: Your job is to assist the F&B Manager with supervision of the food and beverage services and activities of the casino.  Your focus will be on quality and guest satisfaction.  You will assist the F&B Manager with directing the overall food and beverage operations including but not limited to: inventory control, food production, and planning of menus to ensure a positive guest experience and quality of menu items. You do need to have prior F&B experience to be successful in this role. Casino Experience is preferred

Cook: Your job is to prepare and cook meals for our guests and staff that taste great and look good. You are also responsible for maintaining positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. 

Cashier/Waitstaff: This dual position provides fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to casino patrons in The Vortex Grill.  The atmosphere is lively, fun and upbeat!

Bar Tender: Your job will require you to sell and serve beer to customers that are the legal drinking age and to maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked bar. You will be required to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Dishwasher: Your job is to…wash dishes. It may not be glamorous, but it’s got to be done. It pays well, has excellent benefits and is hugely appreciated by management, staff and guests alike! You are also required to keep the dish room clean and well organized.

Maintenance

Maintenance Team Member: To be a successful member of this team, you must be able to provide a clean, sanitary comfortable environment for our guests and your fellow employees. You will also need to have a basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair, perform simple carpentry tasks, basic plumbing, mow lawns and other necessary grounds work. You must also be able to operate lawn tractors and other mechanized equipment such as polishers and buffers.

Players Club

Players Club Host:  As a Host, the main focus of your position is to provide quality customer service and keep our guests informed of promotional events occurring on-site. You are also responsible for the customer database, cash and merchandise redemption.  You need to be a “people person” as well as have great attention to detail for this position!

Security

Security Supervisor: This position requires you to supervise and ensure security guards maintain order, enforce regulation and observance of applicable laws and regulations. Must be friendly and outgoing, possess excellent customer service skills, good judgement in intense situations and have a professional and well-groomed appearance.

Security Officer: As a Security Officer, you are charged with maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees while protecting casino property and assets. You do this by being a peaceful, positive presence in the casino at all times while on duty.  Escorting guests and employees to their cars is as much a part of the job as is helping the big money winners haul their earnings out of the casino!

Surveillance

Surveillance Supervisor: The Surveillance Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Asset Protection and the Assistant Director of Asset Protection is responsible for the successful operation of the surveillance department. They will hire, train and perform corrective actions as necessary. They will monitor to ensure all regulations are being followed. Schedule departmental staff meetings and reviews. Must possess proficient computer skills and the ability to write detailed reports.

Surveillance Operator: The Surveillance Operator, under the direction of the Director of Asset Protection, Assistant Director of Asset Protection and the Surveillance Manager is responsible for monitoring all covered casino properties to ensure the protection of the Casino and its’ assets. Must possess proficient computer skills and the ability to write detailed reports.  

Slots/Customer Service

Slot Tech:  As a slot tech your job is part technical, part customer service.  You will be on the floor all day interacting with customers as well as maintain a positive, professional environment for coworker and vendors. You will be responsible for paying out jackpots, minor repairs and routine maintenance on machines, removals and installs of gaming machines, communicating with and assisting vendors and the gaming commission. You will also be required to do some light housekeeping while on duty.

Customer Service Representative: You will be the main source of contact with our guests.  You have to be a friendly face with a willingness to offer help and a smile at all times!  CSR’s do everything from offering a pat on the back when a guest is having a bad day, to showing a new guest around the casino, to getting a guest a coke or coffee and bringing it to them on the floor. You will also be required to do some light housekeeping. If you really enjoy interacting with all people, this is the job for you!

  • You must be able to pass a background check and receive a gaming license or permit from the Delaware Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as is required to work in gaming operations.
